Task 8: Tagged, Tagging etc, etc

I took a look at del.isio.us from the link given on the Learning 2.0 page, and decided to register. In del.icio.us one of the sites I tagged and looked at has been tagged by 61 other people. I noted their comments and the subject tags they used.
This tool will be of value, as I can access the site while on the desk, and when we deliver training sessions outside of the library. For a user the tag may be of use, for other users it may not. Personnally, I would not tag the library's catalogue.

Expanded the web a bit more

Just did the tour of all three options, Feedstar, (undergoing change) nice to know, but could not search this option will reapply later, Topix.net not much of interest there, tried several topics, minimal activiety, I am already receiving news feeds, Google Blog Search, this one I had a good play with, added another 2 subscriptions

Task 6: Glory be, I have 5 RSS feeds

A decision has been made, I ventured forth and subscribed to my selected RSS feeds. I had a little wander around each, a number of items caught my eye. I may add more RSS feeds later.
I can honestly say I definitely prefer RSS to WIKKI, my emails are killing me!
I am sitting back awaiting my next assignment

Task 4: Wikki, Wikki, Wikki

When I first looked at the brief, I decided that I would find out what a wikki was, I must admit that the idea that one could remove information that was extraneous to the topic as if it was graffiti was particularly appealing. A couple of other wikki's supplied more detail. So I was prepared to use the link that was provided in the Learning2.0 process. The link took me to the exact same page that I had done my observations on. Another thought crossed my mind, what did a Wikkiup refer to. I had to search. I located a wikkiup (wigwam) wiki. So if I put a Wikki up, I am not building a wigwam(wikkiup).
